Why Concept?

Many things in life happen by chance… but most achievements and journeys worth making start with an idea, a goal, a vision… a concept.

If you’ve found yourself on my page, you (or your loved one) may be facing a significant challenge to your concept of self. You may be struggling to do the activities you find meaningful and fulfilling. You may have recently experienced a traumatic event or a significant decline in function, and you may be dealing with all the mental, emotional, social, physical, financial, and other consequences that accompany such a change. You’ve taken a hard hit, or several, and maybe you feel like you’re down on the mat. But the fact that you’re here shows you’re determined to not be down for the count.

My promise to you is that I will be in your corner, and I’m ready to fight alongside you. I will never accept less than your best effort, and you will never get less than mine. If you’re ready to work, if you refuse to accept the circumstances life has dealt you, if you’re determined to fight for yourself, you’ve come to the right place.

I’m passionate about functional rehabilitation - those are fancy words for helping you get back to doing the things you need to do to live your life. Maybe for you that’s being able to roll over in bed, sit up and balance while seated, transfer from bed to a chair, mobilize a wheelchair, stand up, balance in standing, walk, go up and down stairs, do chores or yardwork, care for yourself or your family, get out and about in the community, or return to meaningful hobbies. Maybe you can still do the things you need to do, but not as well as you would like. Maybe you are feeling less balanced, or weaker, or like you aren’t able to do as much as you used to. Maybe you’re needing more help to do things, or trying to stay living in your home as long as possible.

Whatever you’re facing, I’m here to meet you where you are at, and help you see a way forward. I’m very much looking forward to meeting you and helping you reach your goals.

The concept at the heart of Concept Physiotherapy is the one you form in your own mind, for yourself. I can’t wait to see it.
